What else can you wish for on your holidays, but to sleep on the most luxuriant hotels, built in historical buildings which take you back to long gone centuries? And, on your way, to visit the nicest hidden corners of the Alentejo?

With our expert guides and our very personal service, you can be sure you will see all those places that are not on the guide books and, if they are, you’ll get to them along the best route!

We will drive you between the different Pousadas on our comfortable jeeps, using some dirt roads and some lovely secondary asphalt roads also.

We will have many stops along the way to visit the best monuments, artisans, wineries, cheese producers, etc.

Your wishes are commands. You need only to tell your guide which are your main interests and we can customize the planed route.

The car and driver are available at all times. This means that if you decide to visit a place even on a free afternoon that is on the area but not within walking distance, the guide will be happy to take you there.

Car and driver are not available at night time unless there is an emergency. A taxi service must be used if you wish to go out for dinner and there is need of transport.

Its an amazing holidays through the Alentejo!


Day 1 - Arrival


Arrival to airport

Transport by taxi or mini bus Pousada Nossa Sr.ª de Assunção, in Arraiolos, built in a convent.

Meeting with the guide and Welcome Drink at the Pousada.

Visit to village of Arraiolos and its famous carpets.

Dinner: included
Accommodation: Pousada Nossa Sr.ª de Assunção

Day 2 - Enchanted Megaliths


4WD between Arraiolos and Évora, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.

Visit to the most important megalithic monuments of the region, which include the biggest Dolmen of Europe.

Early check in at Pousada dos Lóios, built in a convent.

Free afternoon, to visit Évora.

Dinner and lunch: not included

Day 3 - Conquering Monsaraz


Day tour to Monsaraz, a very famous mediaeval village.

Visit to a pottery atelier and a winery, with wine tasting.

Return to Évora in the end of the day.

Accommodation: at the same hotel

Day 4 - The Cork Route


4WD and asphalt road to Estremoz.

Visit to the lovely castle of Évoramonte and a cork factory.

Early arrival at Pousada Rainha Stª Isabel, built in a Palace.

Free afternoon to visit Estremoz.

Lunch: included lunch at «Tasca do Isaías», typical wine restaurant
Dinner: not included
Accommodation: Pousada Rainha Santa Isabel

Day 5 - The Marble Route


After a visit to the beautiful church of Our Lady of the Martyrs the 4WD jeep will take on backroads through several marvelous marble quarries, some still operating, others forgotten in time.

A visit to the 17th century Ducal Palace of Vila Viçosa will follow.

Again the off road vehicle will lead you to Veiros and then a stretch of asphalt to Flor da Rosa where the Pousada Flor da Rosa, built in a monastery will wait for you for a pleasant evening.

Day 6 - Conquering Marvão


Visit of Crato historical centre, a village linked to the power of the religious Order of Malta.

Asphalt and 4WD to Marvão.

Guests are invited to conquer Marvão on foot, through a mediaeval cobble stoned track (not compulsory).

Marvão is a mediaeval village , which stands isolated on top of a rock face, on the heart of the Natural Park of São Mamede.

The streets are cobblestone and the houses are white, with doors and windows trimmed with granite.

Early arrival to Pousada Santa Maria, in Marvão.

Day 7 - Legacy route


Visit the Roman ruins of Ammaia and Castelo de Vide.

On our way there, the scenery is magnificent, through a humanized Natural Park full of little roads between rock walls and chestnut trees.

Arriving to Castelo de Vide we’ll have time to enjoy this lovely village and visit its wonderful Jewish quarter.

Lunch not included, at Castelo de Vide.

Return to Lisbon airport.
