Description

These tours combine the accommodation at our lovely guesthouse, set in the countryside, with the discovery of the Alentejo in several different tours.

Your kids will love our farm, and will surely delight in feeding the sheep and the chickens, taking the dogs for a walk or even learning something about vegetable gardens! You will love to see them happy, read your book under a tree and participate with them in all the exciting adventures we propose for this family active holidays.

Cycling, canoeing our on our jeep, everyday will be fun!

Day 1 - Arrival

Arrival at the farm. Welcome drink.

The Monte do Serrado de Baixo is a typical Alentejo house..

It has four rooms, with toilet and central heating, decorated to a theme: the cereal, the olives, the wine and the cork tree.

We serve delicious breakfasts and we can serve other meals under request.

We have a fireplace, a swimming pool, a beautiful garden, orchard and vegetable garden. At the farm you’ll find plenty of places to relax and read, amongst olive trees and cork oaks.

Day 2 - Bike tour “Along the Eco-Trail”

This is a trail built on top of an old railway, which is only for pedestrians or cyclers.

You will cycle through farmland and most likely will find cows, sheep and beautiful horses.

The eco trail starts very near the farm, and you will do this tour on your own.

We suggest you take a picnic with you, and take as long as you feel like!

Leaving the eco trail for a few kms you can visit a lake and cycle along it, or visit a lovely hamlet with traditional architecture.

Day 3 - Jeep and canoeing tour “As a fish in water”

details

We will leave the farm in the morning, after our delicious breakfast, and take you to a calm and scenic river.

We will take you in our jeep along some countryside dirt roads.

Arriving at the river we will do some canoeing (don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe!) and, if we are lucky, see some herons, storks or ducks.

On the way back we drop you off in Évora, where you can have lunch and spend the afternoon visiting the lovely city.

Don’t worry a pick up is arranged for later (lunch not included).

Day 4 - Check out

We are flexible. This program is available for 4 to 6 nights and other activities are possible. Please contact us with your special requests.

WE SUGGEST: try a cooking class of traditional Alentejo cuisine and prepare your own dinner with family or friends!

Learn how to prepare a delicious Alentejo meal using ingredients you will find at home so that when you go back you can invite your friends for a slide show and a great dinner.

If you buy this as an extra dinner, cost will be 38,50 € per person. If you want to up grade one of the already included dinners, cost will be 20 € per person.
