HIGHLIGHTS
Classic cars Portugal
The first challenge was to take a different route. Beaten, as you can see on the map.
The second was to exceed the participants’ high expectations. Beaten, as we saw by the compliments received.
The third was to continue to discover this wonderful country in good company. And so it was.
This time we started in the cradle of the nation, Guimarães, with a fantastic cocktail on the inn’s balcony. Then we paraded to the Historic Center where we parked – or rather posed, in front of the beautiful building of the City Hall.
On unforgettable roads, we headed to Bragança and then to the hidden and picturesque village of Marialva, where a fantastic dinner was waiting for us.
We went through Tomar and, heading south, we stopped in Évora, a World Heritage Site, where we slept in the magnificent Convento do Espinheiro. Here we accelerated around the kart track and posed next to the Roman temple. We went down to Estói and again used the engines at the Portimão race track. We stayed overnight in Sagres, with dinner overlooking the rugged cliffs and went up to Alcácer where our friend Miguel Portela de Morais opened our doors for a superb lunch.
We finished as we started, in World Heritage, this time in Sintra, as beautiful as our vehicles!
