Meeting at the magnificent Pousada Flor da Rosa, where we will have our welcome cocktail and the usual animated briefing. This is the moment when we introduce the new participants and we all end up getting to know each other a little better. Our groups are always small and the atmosphere that is created is the great asset of riding with us! The now famous “Jantar Talego” follows, where we guarantee the integration of new participants.

On the way to Spain, we will take advantage of the passage through the spectacular Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede to give the pilots a taste of the curves and counter-curves and secondary roads between walls of the kind that only Portugal can offer!

In Castelo de Vide, tasting of craft beers. For those who like it, stop at the beer factory. Next comes the Galegos Olive Oil Press, where the old and modern versions live side by side.

We continue to explore this magnificent natural park, visiting Marvão or, for those who already know the town, use the time to visit the Roman Ruins of Amaia.

Crossing the border we head to Cáceres, where the first of several monumental Spanish cities awaits us.

The Palace of Oquendo will be our accommodation. We will then go from Monks to Kings!

From Cáceres to the North, we explore the Natural Park of Las Batuecas and the Sierra de Francia, passing by the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Penha de Francia. Spectacular landscapes and difficult and challenging driving.

Along the way, we visit a typical Spanish farm, and got a glimpse of this business, which is shocking for some and vibrant for others. We will save time to stop at some very charming mountain villages. In one of them we stop to visit Tio Picho’s store, a famous honey producer already visited by Spanish kings, where we try different products and line up at the cash register to stock up for the year!

We end in Hervás, a small pueblo that we will want to explore on foot.

We will stay here for 2 nights, we already deserve a rest! Today or tomorrow, anyone who wants to can visit the town’s “crazy” classic car museum.

Circular route to Serra de Gredos, where we will try to leave some time to walk a little! But there’s a lot of ground to cover! 😊

The roads first run through dense forest, where sunlight penetrates timidly, and then give way to uncovered plateaus where only goats and pasture can be found amidst the granite. Gorgeous.

Heading south, we explore the Monfrague National Park. Another beauty where the difficult thing will be to decide where we are not going to go! We finish in Trujillo, another city to fall to the side. Hard not to like Spain…

Along the way, a walking tour to discover a beautiful viewpoint, ups and downs with tight curves and unique photographic opportunities and a visit to the beautiful village of Garganta de la Olla.

The afternoon is spent in the stunning arid landscapes of the Monfrague National Park, where we can spend hours just watching the vultures fly over the river. Bring binoculars!

We end in Trujillo, another city to fall by the wayside. It’s hard not to like Spain….

Today we return to Portugal. We pass by Merida, where those who haven’t been yet should visit the Roman ruins.

But those who have already been there should continue their journey, as there is much more to see. Montachez and Nogales castles, which give us beautiful photo opportunities with our classic cars; Olivenza, with all its history intricated with ours; the Ajuda Bridge, where we are waiting for you with a picnic in our famous style; Elvas, where we will visit the castle, the Plum Museum and, perhaps, even the magnificent Forte da Graça. We spend the night in the center of Elvas, as the day is already long!
